Breakfast: the most important meal of the day. So important, in fact, that we believe the setting should provide a view equally as delicious as the meal itself! Here are some of our favourite breakfast views from around the world.
Take your seat at Above5 to be treated to views over the golden city’s sloping terracotta rooftops as the sun rises. Olive hills undulate in the distance, and beyond those, the twinkling azures of the Adriatic Sea.
Tuck into a hearty and nutritious salmon and avocado bowl, or perhaps you’ll opt for warm and deliciously soft homemade brioche served with a variety of tart jams, freshly squeezed orange juice and your choice of tea or coffee.
There’s nothing better to fuel your explorations of Dubrovnik. You can also enjoy lunch, dinner and drinks at Above5 to admire the city’s vistas at any time of the day. Don’t miss a Bitter Mendez – fusing tequila with vermouth and Campari – cocktail as the stars come out to sparkle above the city’s ancient fortified walls.
Get that all-important Instagram shot of the Sydney Opera House – and fuel up for a day of exploring at the same time – at the MCA Café and Sculpture Terrace. It's on the rooftop terrace of the art gallery and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner with an Asian twist.
First thing, tuck into satisfying toasted banana bread served with salted caramel, or for more of a savoury option, go for a bacon and free-range egg roll, given a spicy kick by chipotle guacamole. Looking for something a bit lighter? Try the gluten-free granola, which comes with bee pollen, yoghurt and fresh banana. Oh, and don't forget your flat white.
Some of the best breakfast views are on our doorstep. Take the dizzying ride up to the 31st floor of one of London’s most distinctive buildings, the Shard, to enjoy your breakfast as morning sunlight spills over the urban cityscape and River Thames. Feeling hungry? The Shard set breakfast is the only thing for it – tuck into treacle-cured bacon, free-range eggs, Cumberland sausages and of course, sourdough.
Or perhaps you’ll go for something sweet, and opt for brioche French toast served with caramelised bananas and natural yoghurt, or a selection of deliciously warm, freshly baked pastries. Healthier options include egg white omelettes and quinoa salad complete with avocado, roasted pumpkin seeds and soft boiled eggs.
Cosy, local favourite spot Sunday in Brooklyn is draped across three storeys, offering views over the neighbourhood’s six-acre Domino Park, which runs along the East River. On cold days, grab a spot by the roaring wood-burning stove, or on warmer ones, enjoy the sunlight on the outdoor terrace.
Breakfast must-tries include scrambled eggs threaded with molten cheddar, bacon, avocado and sausage, or malted pancakes served with caramelised brown butter and hazelnut praline. For something lighter, try the chia bowl, which comes with fresh blueberries and bitter cacao nibs, and accompany it with a delicious and nutritious kale, apple and cucumber juice.
Onboard our ships Celebrity Solstice, Infinity and Millennium, we’ll take you sailing through the majestic, ice-crusted landscapes of Alaska. You'll enjoy watching the barren wastes and glittering scenes of the final frontier pass by, all from the comfort and luxury of your ship.
First thing in the morning, head to the Ocean View restaurant for unbeatable vistas as you enjoy your breakfast. Tuck into a full, restorative cooked breakfast – including succulently roasted tomatoes, salty bacon and hearty sausages, and linger over a cup of steaming coffee before you plan your day. Afterwards, visit the top deck for a closer look at Alaska's fabled passes and straits.
If your mouth is watering, join us for an unforgettable breakfast on one of our Mediterranean, Alaskan or Australian cruises.
