Style, contrasts, adventures.

In recent years, Stockholm has had a bit of a moment, as more and more of us have recognised its qualities. Firstly, this is one pretty city – every angle is a photograph, and everything, from the interiors of the coffee shops to the dress sense of its residents, oozes chic Scandinavian style. Sitting comfortably alongside this contemporary cool is a hint of the old world – found most prominently in Gamla Stan, the old town. Here, you’ll find traditional cobbled streets and a multitude of quaint shops.

And then there is Stockholm’s connection with the great outdoors. It’s surrounded by forests and set upon a vast archipelago, making it the ideal base for all kinds of outdoor adventures. Whether it’s that impeccable sense of style, the old world charm, or the outdoor adventures which brings you to Stockholm, we can’t wait for you to discover one of our favourite cities.

Weather & what to pack

Stockholm enjoys mild to warm summers, and winters which aren’t as cold as you might expect. The best time to visit is between June and August, when the city is at its warmest. You’ll need to bring light summer holiday clothes with you when visiting in summer, as well as some comfortable shoes and a backpack for exploring. In winter, don’t forget a warm coat and some winter woollies, such as gloves, scarves and hats to keep out the cold.
