Our Best May Cruises

The Mediterranean

The MediterraneanSpring is one of the most beautiful times in the Mediterranean. The temperatures become pleasant and mild, but the crowds are yet to arrive. The cities shine and in the countryside, colourful flowers bloom. We’ll introduce you to some of the most romantic and entrancing cities on Earth, from the ancient ruins of Rome to the lively beaches of Barcelona.

In Greece, we’ll visit the picturesque islands of Mykonos and Santorini, famous for their white-washed buildings and cornflower blue rooves. Grab a seat at an authentic beachside taverna and watch the waves roll in. In Croatia we’ll visit the walled city of Dubrovnik, with its cliffside bars and medieval old town.

Norwegian Fjords

Norwegian FjordsThe epic Norwegian Fjords are awe-inspiring at any time of the year, but they’re perhaps at their most impressive in spring – making May the perfect time to visit. We’ll take you gliding through the cobalt blue waters of Geirangerfjord and Sognesfjord. Look out for quiet villages nestled into the slopes, and waterfalls thundering into the water.

The Fjords in May enjoy warm, mild temperatures and refreshing breezes. As the main tourist season runs between June and August, you’ll miss the tourist crowds and enjoy some of the Fjords’ best attractions, like Flam Railway, to yourself.

Alaska

AlaskaWhether you’re returning or visiting for the first time, a cruise to Alaska is an unforgettable experience. In May, Alaska begins to experience milder temperatures, but peak season hasn’t quite started yet (this tends to be between July and August).

There’s so much to do in Alaska. Discover the historic Alaskan railroad in Seward, before trying your hand at fishing for halibut in Sitka. Between ports, we’ll sail through vast seascapes of icebergs and rare wildlife. Hubbard Glacier is the largest calving glacier in North America, meaning it drops huge blocks of ice into the sea as often as every few minutes.
