Payments and Gratuities

At Celebrity we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional service during your cruise holiday. This is provided by many different members of the ships’ personnel, both directly and indirectly, who strive to ensure you enjoy your cruise to the fullest. For your convenience, we automatically add a discretionary gratuity for your restaurant and stateroom services to your SeaPass account. You’ll find it offers a simple way for you to reward those personnel who’ve made your stay special. It also answers the concern of whom to tip, and when. All gratuities charged are paid in full to your stateroom and restaurant service teams, and may be adjusted if you wish.

But why not consider pre-paying all your gratuities before you set sail? Then you can relax knowing that everything has been taken care of, and it qualifies you for our new Celebrity Select Dining. Eat whenever the main restaurant is open, or make reservations for a different time each night before you sail – the ultimate in dining flexibility.

These service gratuities are based on the following recommended amounts:

An approximate daily total of $11.50 per guest ($12.00 for Concierge Class and Aquaclass guests and $15.00 for suite guests) per cruise day, will cover the stateroom and dining room service for adults and children.

Guests that have chosen to pre-pay service charges at the time of booking will find the service charges left will be automatically added to the sea pass account.

Seapass

All Celebrity ships operate on a cashless system. For onboard purchases, you will be provided with a Seapass Account. This account can be validated with a Visa, MasterCard, Novus, or American Express card, or you may arrange to pay this account by cash or traveller's check. All onboard services and purchases may then be signed for and charged to your Seapass Account. At the end of your cruise, you will receive a completely itemised statement reflecting your charges.

Paying for Shore Excursions

Shore excursions booked on board the ship will be charged to your Seapass Account. To book shore excursions, contact the Shore Excursion Desk as soon as possible after boarding your ship, as space is limited. Shore excursions may also be booked through the Celebrity Network in your stateroom and charged to your Seapass Account, or you can book online.

Currency Requirements

Only U.S. currency is accepted aboard the ships, and personal checks are not accepted. Credit cards can be used to secure cash by using the ATM located near the casino onboard.

Currency exchange services are available onboard at the Guest Relations Desk. The shops, lounges, shore excursions, and AquaSpa operate on a cashless system; therefore you must use your Seapass Account when purchasing beverages and services throughout the ship.

ATM

ATMs dispensing US Dollars are available onboard all Celebrity ships. You may obtain cash by using your MasterCard, VISA or American Express card.

Celebrity Century, Celebrity Constellation, Celebrity Eclipse and Celebrity Equinox offer an ATM machine that dispense EUROs for those sailing to Europe. The EUROs ATM machines have different display to the USD machines and are located in heavy traffic areas onboard our ships.

- The fee charged to the guest is EUR 6 per transaction.
- The exchange rate applied to the transaction is determined by the issuer of the guest's bank card, and will be a rate directly from EUR to the currency of   their   card
